Born and raised in musically renowned Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Harold Whit Williams is a prize-winning poet and the longtime guitarist for indie rock band Cotton Mather. A session musician for numerous Austin, TX artists over the years, his lo-fi solo project/band Daily Worker has taken off with multiple albums and accolades received (not to mention his Marmoset Music funk/soul/rock recording project GERVIN feat. superstar brothers Al and Chad Gamble, ambient project The French Riot, no-wave duo MARKING & PLATING, and others). Williams is head of Metadata Services at the University of Texas Libraries, and in his spare time he focuses on cataloging sound recordings of the KUT Collection.
